Do we love them or hate them?

Can we painfully let ourselves watch these awards for 2-3 grueling hours and anticipate which artist is wearing which designer and who will say something dumb when it comes to acceptance speeches—awkward award show hosts—dreadful outfits??

WELL, I think either way—whether the network needs some miracle ratings or not, they still are somewhat of a guilty pleasure.

So, recapping – the VMA’s (MTV)

Justin Timberlake and Rihanna each took home two major awards at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards (Sept. 9) at Las Vegas' Palms Casino Resort. Timberlake won the first "Quadruple Threat" trophy and male artist of the year, while Rihanna won video of the year and monster single of the year for “Umbrella” featuring Jay-Z.

Beyonce took home the Earth-Shattering collaboration trophy for “Beautiful Liar,” which features Shakira. Fall Out Boy won best group, while their protégés, Gym Class Heroes, won the fan-voted best new artist award. Fergie was named female artist of the year but was a surprising no-show to accept it.

The major DISAPPOINTMENT of the night belong to Britney Spears who opened the show with a lethargic version of her new song, “Gimme More,” her maiden major public appearance in the run-up to the Nov. 13 release of her first Jive album in four years.

After emerging from a coin-operated booth, Chris Brown showed off his impressive dance moves during “Wall to Wall,” all while dressed in a Charlie Chaplin-like getup. Rihanna then emerged in a black bodysuit and high heels for a run through “Umbrella.”

Performances were frequently teased from suites in the hotel, including West performing his new, Daft Punk-sampling hit “Stronger” and the T-Pain-assisted “Good Life” in a room filled with revelers in glow-in-the-dark glasses, Fall Out Boy playing “Thnks fr th Mmrs” and then trashing their equipment, 50 Cent rapping “Ayo Technology” with Timberlake and Foo Fighters rocking out with Cee-Lo on vocals for a cover of Prince's “Darling Nikki.”

But nonetheless, here were the winners of the night:

Katherine Heigl's own parents when the Grey's Anatomy star won the Emmy for outstanding supporting actress in a drama on Sunday. Heigl, 29, phoned into the Ellen DeGeneres show on Tuesday to say her mother told her: "This year, you know, with The Sopranos women being nominated and it being their last year of the show, I really think they're going to win – so I don't want you to be disappointed if you don't.

Joy for America!!!

Entertainment Tonight and PEOPLE magazine held a party at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, where guests included Emmy winner Jeremy Piven, Tori Spelling, former Grey's Anatomy costars Kate Walsh and Ellen Pompeo, nominee Masi Oka of Heroes and the proud cast of Ugly Betty.

“America's over the moon.” Ana Ortiz said of Betty costar America Ferrera's Emmy win. “I think she might be the first Latina, a leading actress to have won this. She's 23 and she's our leader.”

Vanessa Williams agreed: “She's phenomenal! Absolutely, we're really proud of her. She deserves it.”

So after a long, glorious Grecian vacation, I have returned to do what I do best – blog & gossip about my favorite celebrities –or- lack there of…

You’d think the first week of September would bring good to some like the announcement of Kelly Clarkson’s new tour or the new contestants picked to star in “Dancing with the Stars” – but my, oh my… nothing is ever complete without some drama in our lives!

Giving me an ulcer lately after hearing this cringing news is none other than Britney Spears!

According to USA Today, she will be performing a “new song” at the MTV Video Music awards, Sunday, September 9^th, 2007 in Las Vegas and has been working up an act with gorgeous Greek illusionist Criss Angel. Her much anticipated album is coming out on November 13, 2007.

Honestly, I wouldn’t mind seeing Criss, but he could make the trailer trash blonde disappear, I’ll be up for watching it! ;)

Speaking about the MTV Video Music Awards, Amy Winehouse will not be performing!

"In a continued effort to support Amy Winehouse's well being, in addition to the postponement of her U.S. tour, all other U.S. appearances have been canceled," Universal Republic Records said in a statement.

The 23-year-old Winehouse – currently on vacation in St. Lucia with husband Blake Fielder-Civil – was hospitalized Aug. 8 and treated for exhaustion, the start of a roller coaster ride of canceled commitments and impassioned plead from her parents and in-laws to stop taking drugs. All of her U.S. appearances have been postponed until 2008.

Earlier this month, the singer and her husband checked into a retreat in Essex where, Fielder-Civil said, "The main thing is that me and Amy are getting better."

Can we say drama?? And I saw those pictures—those were some nasty bruises and cuts that she and her husband had prior both entered rehab!

So bring on the good news??

Well after scrapping the summer version due to poor ticket sales, Clarkson will instead hit North American arenas with special guest Jon McLaughlin, beginning Oct. 10 in New York shows are set through Dec. 3 in Nashville.

Fans that had tickets for the canceled dates are eligible for a special Ticketmaster code for the new shows; details are available on Clarkson's Web site.

How nice of Paris Hilton to apologize on the Larry King Live show and tell America that she was "too immature," in reference to her behavior.

Umm, didn't you realize from the time you were showing your crotch to America that you were being a whore and a slut in front of the cameras and not behaving as to how a normal 24-year-old woman should act?!

Apparently, Hilton told King that her incarceration allowed her "time to figure out who I am." Asked if jail changed her, she replied, "Yeah, definitely. I have a new outlook on life." Well I would hope so... why not just have a freaking chauffeur bring you around.. don't drink and drive -- simple as that!!!

Talk about being together for a long time before getting married!! Tony Bennett and longtime girlfriend Susan Crow, will be indulging themselves into a nice romantic Italian honeymoon as the two married in a private civil ceremony in New York on June 21, witnessed by the state's former governor Mario Cuomo and his wife Matilda. Not too mention that he's 80 and she's 47!! That's just WOW!! But good for them.. to be FINALLY settling down after all those years together! :) I guess it's never too old to get married!!

Who wants to spice up their life?!?

I know I do... The SPICE GIRLS -- yes, ALL five of them: Victoria (Posh), Melanie B. (Scary), Melanie C. (Sporty), Emma (Baby), and Geri (Ginger) are going to be embarking on a two-month tour that will begin on December 7, 2007 in L.A. and include concerts in Las Vegas, New York City, London, Cologne, Madrid, Beijing, Hong Kong, Sydney, Capetown, and Buenos Aires.

The Spice Girls first conquered the world after their Svengali manager, American Idol creator Simon Fuller, launched their first catchy tune, "Wannabe" in 1996. But the group fired Fuller in 1997; Halliwell quit a year later and the remaining four parted ways in early 2001.

BTW-- Eddie Murphy IS the father of Angel Iris, Melanie "Scary" Brown's daughter! HAHA I sooo knew it!!! -- Guess we didn't Maury Povich to solve this case! ;)

And last but certainly not least... looks like the soulful sounds of R&B's Prince - a.k.a Usher will be a daddy!

According to People Magazine, they reported that just after a week his fiancée hinted that children could be in their future, the pop star and Tameka Foster announced that they were expecting their first child, due in the fall. "We are extremely excited at this point in our lives planning our wedding and the joy that comes with expecting our first child together."

Usher, 28, and Foster, 36, first became serious a year and a half ago, she told Essence.com last week. "What people don't realize is that Usher and I were friends for nearly seven years and I worked as his personal stylist for five years," she said. "I was the only female friend he felt he could talk to."

Well congratulations to them! And for some reason I see a pattern-- older men LOVE younger women, and quite possibly younger men LOVE women... whatever happened to liking someone within your own age range? Guess that doesn't exist anymore!

Needless to say, age is nothing but a number!

Soo... not only did I report last week that a lot of Hollywood are having baby bumps.. it still continues!!

But this week I will not be reporting on babies.. well because who cares!!!

Anyways, I feel bad for my spunky Greek goddess, known as Kelly Clarkson!

Not only has the album jumped up a month to be released on June 26th, but her tour has just been recently cancelled and she's parted ways with her manager, Jeff Kwatinetz of the Los Angeles-based company The Firm!!

Poor Kelly :(

In an exclusive statement to PEOPLE, a spokesperson for The Firm says, "Kelly Clarkson is an enormously talented artist. We are pleased to have served as her managers during her well-deserved rise to stardom and are proud of the role we played in backing her creative choices.

"We believed in Kelly from the day we met her and believe in her now. We have only the best wishes and hopes for her in the future."

My question is... why won't her own label accept her as an artist with credibility?! She's by far the most successful idol; why can't she make an album apart from all the rest!? Her new album, My December was the first album she co-produced and wrote entirely.

Clarkson's first single from My December, "Never Again," peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard charts, a disappointment after Clarkson's No. 1 smash, 2004's "Since U Been Gone."

I say - keep making your music darling and don't listen to the idiots trying to ruin you! Your songs on the new album are great and don't let the negativity bring you down -- it will only make you stronger!!!

Things may be brightening up for Baywatch babe, David Hasselhoff as he was awarded primary custody of his two daughters on Friday.

Superior Court Judge Mark Juhas ruled that Hasselhoff's ex-wife, Pamela Bach, could visit the teen-aged girls on alternate weekends and on Wednesday nights for dinner, said Hasselhoff's lawyer Melvin S. Goldsman.

The decision marked a dramatic turnaround for the actor, who had been blocked temporarily from seeing Taylor-Ann, 17, and Hayley, 14, after a drunken video of the actor surfaced in May. Hasselhoff regained his parental rights when he agreed to alcohol testing, sources say.

Hasselhoff, 54, filed for divorce from Bach, 42, in January 2006 after 16 years of marriage; she filed her own divorce claim the following day. The former couple have battled over finances and custody of their daughters ever since.

Soo on my 2-week hiatus.. I am back!

Let's see, while I've been away, Paris has been in & out of her house and jail and is finally back in jail to serve her 21-day sentence [as if that was a lot to begin with!] -- at least she's not appealing her sentence... she's taking the higher road and completing it.. how cute! ;P

Sopranos' Ending?!?

Umm.. so I'm at work and you do not know how many forums I've gone through where someone was talking about the ending of the Sopranos. Some people liked it, others hated it.. some wanted to threaten the director, and others loved its artistic approach!

Whatever the case may be, the show IS officially over! Personally I happened to catch the last final minutes of the show, and it was quite and interesting ending. Did he die? Maybe... but it's safe to say that the ending was more than likely portrayed from Tony's eyes... and he has said in the past that when death is upon us, we don't hear anything... and right before Meadow opened the door... we heard the door chimes several times.. so who knows?!

Anyways..enough of the Soprano's... it's all about the babies!!!

That's right! Everyone in Hollywood seems to be knocked up and was knocked up! (However, the movie Knocked Up was also VERY good this past weekend)...hehe ;)

First up are Mexican singer, Thalia and her music executive husband Tommy Mottola, who are expecting their first child together. The pregnancy was announeced in a statement on Thalia.com, which reads in part: "Yes, it's confirmed! Thalía is expecting her first baby, who will be born in a few months. Her pregnancy is going well and she is healthy, very happy and full of energy, as usual."

Next up is Without a Trace actress Poppy Montgomery and her boyfriend, actor Adam Kaufman, are expecting their first child, she told PEOPLE exclusively. "It's so crazy. I'm like: Oh my god! I can't believe it," Montgomery says. Their baby is due in December.

Dennis Quaid and wife Kimberly know what to expect now that they're expecting: one of each. "We finally know the sexes of these sweet little children coming into the world – we've seen pictures of them," Quaid told the crowd Saturday at his 5th Annual Dennis Quaid Charity Weekend in Austin. "One of them was a boy and one of them was a girl." (People.com)

Cold Case actor Danny Pino and his wife Lilly welcomed a son, Julian Franco Pino (cute name!!), on Tuesday, Pino's rep tells PEOPLE exclusively. Julian, who weighed 7 lbs. and 15 oz., is the second child for Pino, 33, and his wife, 32, who have another son, Luca, 15 months.

Access Hollywood host Nancy O'Dell and husband Keith Zubchevich welcomed a baby girl, Ashby Grace, on Monday, O'Dell tells PEOPLE. The girl was 7 lbs., 9 oz. and born at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Eva Herzigova and her Italian boyfriend Gregorio Marsiaj have welcomed their first child, a healthy baby boy, a rep tells PEOPLE. A spokeswoman from Storm Models confirms the baby was born in Paris on June 1. "They now have a lovely son who they have named George Marsiaj Herzig," says the rep.

Tennis star Lindsay Davenport can now add motherhood to her list of impressive titles. On Sunday, Davenport and her husband, Jonathan Leach, welcomed thier first child, a son named Jagger Jonathan Leach, her rep confirms. The baby, who weighed in 8 lbs., 1 oz, was born at 6:15 p.m. in Newport Beach, Calif.

Record Sales - Close race to #1

T-Pain's Epiphany took the top spot - with 171,126 copies sold - followed closely by Rihanna's Good Girl Gone Bad at #2 with 162,803.

Sir Paul McCartney is still making records, and they're still doing well. His new one, Memory Almost Full, sold 160,541 - coming it at #3.

Last week's #1, R. Kelly's Double Up, slips to #4 with 120,516 and last week's #2, Maroon 5's It Won't Be Soon Before Long, drops to #5 with 112, 131.

Debuting at the sixth spot is country duo Big & Rich, whose record Between Raising Hell & Amazing, moved 102,927 units.

Linkin Park takes a dip this week, moving from #3 to #7 with 95,573 copies sold of their latest, Minutes To Midnight.

After a long absence on the charts, Marilyn Manson has a rather tepid debut, coming in at #8 with 87,531 albums out the gate of his new release, Eat Me Drink Me.

Making an impressive showing on the big chart, Latin act Daddy Yankee saw his latest record, El Cartel: The Big Boss land on the #9 spot on the album chart its first week out with 81,768 units sold. He tops the Latin chart as well.

And,rounding out the Top 10 with s Miz 66,591 copies, Amy Winehouse's Back To Black continues to exceed expectations. Her album's already gone Gold in America and has sold 560,151 units - with no end in sight as buzz and word of mouth continues to build for the Brit.

On Dancing with the Stars, teammates Apolo Ohno and Julianne Hough edged out their competition as Laila Ali & Maksim Chmerkovsky took home third place, and their rivals & the shows' faves Joey Fatone & Kym Johnson were so close yet so far!

According to People Magazine, Ohno felt "amazing" - the speed skater said after learning he'd won the competition, beating out singer Joey Fatone and boxer Laila Ali. "From day 1, I feel like everyone here has been champions."

"I'm so excited to see Apolo win," Judge Carrie Ann Inaba told PEOPLE after the finale. "He took it so seriously. He truly mastered the dances. He was the best technical dancer. Apolo and Julianne brought a whole new energy to the dance floor. You never quite knew what they were going to do."

I was able to catch the finale, and may I add – I think I'll be taking up some ballroom classes myself – haha… good job you two!!

On American Idol, it was down between 17-year-old Jordin Sparks from Arizona and Blake Lewis.

Tuesday night's show brought in a record 74 million votes, and yes—finally after a long, boring, season – America has chosen Jordin.

The show included jam-packed artists like Kelly Clarkson and Taylor Hicks, but also Gwen Stefani and Green Day. Though the show has come a LONG way – I think they chose the better opponent. Jordin is more marketable and since she's the youngest ever to win American Idol – she'll be able to do so much more and go in many different directions!

Last, but not least is the Bachelor: an Officer & an a Gentleman! A nerve-wracking show I must say! I mean you go on all these dates with all these women, and then you have to pick only one?! What a tough call!

Anyways, for this finale, Andy Baldwin took the two remaining women to meet his family in his childhood hometown of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. After spending time with both Bevin and Tessa, Andy's family told him that either woman would be a fine decision for him.

After both dates, the final rose ceremony was coming up. Who was he going to choose?? Ohh the madness!!

Well, Bevin was the first one to go, and this is not going to be pretty. Andy tells Bevin, "I want you to know that this is not a rejection at all, but there is somebody who has touched my heart deeper." A tearful Bevin had nothing to say. Before Bevin left, Andy said "I will never, ever forget you." In the limo ride away, Bevin sobbed "I just should have known this is how it was going to end. He doesn't love me. I put everything out on the line. I gave him my heart, and he didn't want it. I said things to a man that I don't normally say, but I felt a strong connection, and I really took a chance, and I felt that he could be the one for me. I couldn't believe that he was rejecting me."

So I guess this means two things - - TESSA WINS! (My favorite, actually)!

According to Reality TV Magazine, Andy told Tessa, "You are everything that I've been looking for. You are elegant, sophisticated, up for anything, and you make me laugh until I get side stitches." WELLI can definitely say I was quite sad when I found out Jessica Simpson & John Mayer split - I mean, it was weird the pair was even together! And Papa Psycho Simpson also gave Mayer the thumbs up into dating his blonde, well now brunette Popstress daughter!

According to UsMagazine.com, a source close to the couple stated that "[John] was just over her. He wasn't into her anymore. He was ready to move on." Seconds another source: "Jessica and John are done. She is really bummed, but wants to put her best foot forward and continue being out and about. She is just having fun and not interested in any new boys."

Aw man, and to think – these two could have made really beautiful music together… NOT!

….I just love how magazines report news about people breaking up but celebs are pretty slick… like for example – Denise Richards & Richie Sambora!

Even though as reported to many magazines this week that the two have ended their controversial year-long relationship and that the two have split up "quietly," – actually they had been broken up since March, two months before, citing "timing" as to what led to the breakup!

So even though they’ve been through a whirlwind year of betraying and backstabbing their best friends and ending their marriages, to date each other – they’re both still very supportive of each other. "Denise's rep tells Us the split is amicable: "She has remained very supportive to Richie and even flew to New York to support him after his father’s passing."

Hmm, maybe they should star in their own soap opera?

Now, on to the more juicy tidbits: who’s been spotted together and who’s been popping the question!

Would you date a magician? I mean, I don’t think most people would, but Cameron Diaz is! She’s currently being linked to A&E’s Mindfreak illusionist, Criss Angel (real name: Christopher Nicholas Sarantakos – dang how’s that for LONG Greek name)!! Anyways, they have being going on several dates including where they were last spotted in Treasure Island, at hot spot Social House.

Now, I do know that Cameron is playing the field, post break-up to Justin Timberlake, going from to Kelly Slater (Professional surfer), to now Angel – but we shall see what happens! BTW, in my opinion, I think they look cute together!

Batting up next are Pussycat Dolls leading lady, Nicole Scherziner and her beau, Talan Torriero of Laguna Beach! Like, are you for real? Who would have that this LB B-list star would nab Nicole? Seems quite uncanny to me as they’ve been reported taking a "romantic" holiday getaway together to Hawaii, where they’ve been spotted on Friday purring around the beach! ;)

Looks like there’s hope for these Laguna Beach alumni to come out on top instead of Jason Wahler’s few run-ins with the law! Haha!!

For all you Rehab wannabes aka Amy Winehouse fans – guys she’s now legally married! According to Perezhilton.com, "Amy Winehouse did get married to fiancé Blake Fielder-Civil this morning in a very private, intimate ceremony. They are very happy," confirms her publicist. Following the ceremony, the couple - who have been engaged since February but dating on and off for over two years - celebrated their union with Mudslides and Pina Coladas poolside at the Shore Club before heading to the beach, reports Us Weekly.

"They look so happy and in love," a witness at the hotel told Us. "She wore shorts and a tank top. They were all over each other."

I would like to say congrats to them~ they definitely look happy!

Other people in feigning for love but for the courts… are SUING one another!

Well not only did Lindsay showcase her new found lover boy Calum, she and her mother are also being sued by photographers! What a lovable relationship they all have, huh?

According to the court papers obtained by Access Hollywood, Giovanni Arnold claims he "sustained severe and permanent personal injuries" due to the incident that happened on March 13, 2007!!

The lawsuit was filed on Thursday in the New York State Supreme Court, Bronx Country. Arnold claimed Lindsay was the driver and Dina is the owner of the car. In the lawsuit, he states the defendants (Lindsay & Dina) were "negligent, careless and reckless" with the vehicle, causing him personal injury and economic loss.

First of all, it’s May 11th – there’s been almost two months since the accident – why is this coming up now?? Hmm, pretty peculiar if you ask me.

Plus, I think Dina, for a mother, is a pretty horrid example of role model. GROW UP! Set the example for your daughter who looks like trashy cracked-out whore these days!!!

BOBBY & WHITNEY!!

Bobby Brown is apparently suing ex-wife, Whitney Houston and seeking to change the terms of their custody arrangement for their 14-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina.

"After Whitney and I separated, I had nowhere to go and very little money to live on," Brown states. "I was, for all intents and purposes, homeless." (Oh, please, give me a break)!!

By the end of last year, Brown writes, he was "distraught and depressed" and didn't understand the importance of responding to Houston's petition on time. He also says Houston told him she'd give him six months to respond to see if they could work things out.

So now that Brown is washed up artist, that didn’t actually think Houston would actually go through with the petition, thinking they’d get back together [yeah, okay]! He’s now seeking shared custody, child support, and spousal support, and says he doesn't believe that Houston has provided a copy of their prenuptial agreement to the court. A court date has been set up for Brown’s new case, which will be for June 15.

And last but not certainly least, is our favorite super duper handsome hunkster, Leonardo diCaprio.

Apparently Leo wanted to shoot some hoops by making a personal basketball court for himself and his buddies – however his neighbors, Ronald and Joan Linclau, filed a lawsuit Thursday alleging that DiCaprio's backyard renovation for the recreation area has caused damage to their uphill property since July 2004.

DiCaprio "maliciously" crossed onto the couple's property, cutting and removing hedges, excavating "earth, granite, and bedrock," which has destabilized their deck and pool, the Superior Court suit alleges.

The neighbors assert that damages exceed $250,000. They also say DiCaprio ignored their repeated demands to stop construction. We’re supposed to LOVE thy neighbor, not destroy their property – sheesh!!

Lesson #2: Love is a very hard thing to maintain – it takes patience, time, and a FAT WALLET to keep up with expenses!!

Is it just me or is Paris Hilton finally getting what she deserves?

I mean seriously, not only do I loathe her, but this hotel heiress is finally paying her dues, as a California state judge announced on Friday that she will be going to jail for 45 days after violating the terms on her probation by repeatedly driving with a suspended license. According to People Magazine, the hotel heiress's attorney, Howard Weitzman, claimed that he was shocked "and disappointed at the sentence by the judge; to sentence Paris Hilton to jail is uncalled for, inappropriate and ludicrous. She was singled out for who she is. "

OHH PLEASEE… give it a rest! Actually, maybe this arrest will put her towards being a BETTER role model, since she doesn’t know how to act like a classy lady; maybe she’ll actually like prison?!? Now… that will be hot to see!

In other news…

Evanescence sure likes to fire people! According the LA Daily News on Friday, they’ve reported that guitarist John LeCompt’s been fired and drummer Rocky Gray has quit? Are they playing a game of "musical musicians??"

"I'm done, and I'm pretty upset about it," LeCompt said. "Amy Lee called and fired me today. There's absolutely no loyalty in this band."

And it's true.

Evanescence seems more like a bunch of hired musicians than an actual band.

This is not the first time Evanescence has had personnel problems. In 2003, guitarist and co-founder Ben Moody quit while the band was touring in Europe, replaced by Terry Balasamo from Cold. Last July, bassist Will Boyd quit, replaced by Tim McCord from Revolution Smile.

Not only have I just grown to dislike Evanescence, they do not even seem real anymore! They’re like a fake band!!

And… last story making its waves this week…

Akon can smack that Verizon partnership GOOD-BYE….!

Honestly, what was he thinking when he wanted to have an "unofficial dance contest" go down during his concert in Trinidad and not let it be a dance contest, but more like simulating a sex contest?!?

According to various accounts, 15 year-old Danah Alleyne, a pastor’s daughter, thought she had won a dance contest when she was invited to dance with Akon, but soon found out, she’d be real up-close and person with the rapper.

First of all, I’d like to know where the parents of the 15-year-old kid were to have let her go to an 18+ club that has now been shut down due to authorities…. And did Akon not think that someone "smart enough" wouldn’t have recorded it and put it on YouTube?? Does he think Trinidadians are stupid?

Well now the Trinidadian Prime Minster Patrick Manning has opened an investigation into the show. "I have taken very careful notice of this matter and the owner of Zen owes it to the public to take responsibility", Manning told WorldNetDaily.com. "I will be interfacing with Zen because that kind of thing should never be allowed to happen in this country."

Overall, I don’t think he was very smart in coming up with that idea in the first place. You can argue it both ways; "He didn’t know she was 15, etc." In all honesty, even though Verizon dropped him, some other carrier will sign him up. Remember kids. Bad Publicity = Good Publicity.
